I like her as an actress, I liked her (changing accent aside) in Man from Uncle, but she was utterly and horrible miscast in this. The fight scene where she drowns a massive dude by holding him under 2 inches of water, it looked pretty much like a child play fighting with their uncle and being allowed to win. People complained she didn't have much up top and I have to agree, and by that I mean arm size, core strength or height. Bad dialogue, bad script, bad action, this movie had nothing to recommend it. She was a delivery bike rider, really? She was not Lara Croft: Tomb Raider in any way.Ī lot of good actors were wasted in this movie, Goggins and Vikander especially. Everything she did was wrong, yet she figured out the puzzle at the end that no one else could? Yeah we heard people saying how intelligent she was, maybe some examples of her actually acting intelligently some time during the movie would have been good.Īlso did not like her back story. I like Alicia Vikander, and I'm OK with her not being as voluptuous as Angelina, but her character was simply an idiot. I thought Angelina's Tomb Raider was entertaining, and she was a perfect Lara Croft. The action scenes were just meh, all of them. It wasn't mindless fun, it was just stupid.
No excuses for being based on a video game. Every action was idiotic and had no rationale behind it. Nothing anyone did made any kind of sense whatsoever.
